10/10 Excellent

"Stayed one night on a Sunday, bar very busy and whole place was buzzing, great to see the old building being put to good use. Some of the decorative finishes have been rushed and bedrooms although modern and clean are still basic, but guess that’s a work in progress. Also scaffolding on one side, but again not really an issue. Breakfast is self serve but all good quality ingredients regularly topped up"

"I was very impressed by the hotel over all. The location and amenities are great. The breakfast was excellent and represented good value for money, served in a good environment. Our room was small, but the bed was super comfy and the shower was fabulous. I especially liked the mini fridge with real milk in a bottle and good quality coffee and tea. The room was mostly clean and clean in all the important areas, however some attention could be paid to dusting those less obvious areas and the paintwork could be refreshed. Single glazing also meant the seagulls were very loud! Parking is not included, but the system that hotel has in place to provide discounted street parking is a good solution."

"Amazing old building, wonky floors everywhere, proper faded Victorian grandeur, however... The room was roasting, even with a fan and the pillows were hideous, like trying to sleep with your head on a rock,after one night and stiff neck and shoulders in the morning I went to Poundland and bought 2 pillows so I could get some sleep."
