I believe it’s a family business so everything is very homely and friendly the owner puts heart and soul and so much love in the place.

. Terribly shabby service though, struggled with much luggage in front of five staff, asked for help and got mine until I was 3/4 of the way to the room. Asked for a taxi and whilst it was called no one told me it was there waiting at the side so I waited at the front and it left. Really appealing service at the bun restaurant too. "

"Been going to Deans Place for years on our annual Glyndebourne visit. It’s just a great country house hotel in a beautiful village in the middle of the S Downs national park. It’s a bit tatty at the edges, the food is predictable and chic it isn’t. We just love it as it is and pray that it does not get boutiqued… for us 5 star"

"We enjoyed our time in this cosy little apartment. We had everything we needed. Our host was friendly and helpful, and responded quickly and positively to a special request we made. It was located within walking distance of Lewes. The walk was lovely through a nearby park and path by the river. It was a pleasant stay."
