Booked last minute on our trip to Assisi not really knowing about this gem, but turned out to be the best! Very friendly staff. The location is just the best if your planing a trip to Assisi. The views are amazing and your not far from the basílica of st francis and Maria degli angeli. The best !
What an amazing stay, from the very beginning we knew this place was special. Paul helped us upgrade our room to one with a breathtaking view and made our stay so extraordinary! We were made to feel like family from the moment we arrived, all of the staff was so friendly and helpful and the restaurant, Ceci, is like no-other! We are definitely coming back and cannot recommend this place enough!

Hotel Umbra is a perfect location just off the Piazza Commune under an arch across from the Information center where you can park briefly to unload. Despite it being on the piazza, it's very quiet and incredible views. They have a lovely panoramic terrace on level 1 which is private and lovely with a view of the valley and several lounge chairs. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious. There is a large shower. The outdoor courtyard gives a welcome space outdoors. There was an amazing cooked to order hot breakfast included. Which gave real value to the booking. It is convenient to walk into the historic city. There is good parking accommodation. Staff are very attentive to your needs and welcoming.
The best part of staying at this hotel was the front desk clerk Anil. He brought and extra pillow ave a fan to help cool the room down. 2nd best was the beautiful rooftop pool with chairs to sit out ave enjoy the evening air. 3rd was the delicious dinner at the restaurant, the Cannaloni was amazing.
