The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Property was very clean. Breakfast was very nice assortment and the 2 people working the breakfast were very helpful and kept everything clean and appealing.
Very comfortable. High level of cleanliness. Friendly, helpful staff. Very good rates. Less than 5 minutes to downtown Ottawa, less than 30 minutes to Starved Rock State Park. Only a couple blocks from I-80, but no road noise in the motel room.
Staff update you through text messages, which is easier in case of problems. Room was clean and welcoming. Please be aware of your surroundings! 2 raccoons took our marshmallows lol. It was fun
Looks like this hotel has been recently renovated. Carpet is clean and breakfast area was top notch. Even the chairs were comfortable. Great selection of breakfast items.
Only negative were the hard pillows.
We had an excellent experience here and I would definitely recommend this property. Staff was very accommodating with an early check in due to a local event we were attending in Utica. The front desk had taxi numbers waiting for us at check in to take us to a wine walk in Utica. Our room was spacious, updated, and very comfortable. Breakfast had many nice options.
Our stay at the Surrey Motel was great. We were only there for the night and really just needed a place to crash. The staff was friendly and helpful before and during our stay!
We have stayed at this hotel at least 7 times over the past 10 years when we come back to Morris to visit family.
Every time, we have had an excellent experience. The staff & service is excellent, the rooms are clean & comfortable. The pool is always in top shape, and their free breakfast is a nice extra.
There are a few dumpy hotels nearby, we have made the mistake of choosing them. We will continue to visit this one in the future. Hotel is very convenient to access from the highway.
