"The atmosphere was quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent featuring authentic local flavor. There was quite a bit of clutter on the outside due to construction. Overall, we recommend Hotel Viking and would stay there again."

"We were here for one night, and the beds could have been more comfortable, but our jet-lagged bodies didn’t care! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, brought us anything we needed quickly, and served us GREAT appetizers and drinks at the Library Bistro, which had a very charming atmosphere. We appreciated that the windows opened to let fresh air in, and the curtains kept the room nice and dark, despite the midnight sun (albeit super cool to see). One plus is that the hotel is just down the street from a waterfront pathway, which offers gorgeous views. While we spent most of our day doing a whirlwind self-tour of Reykjavik and Blue Lagoon (conveniently close to the hotel as far as drive time), we very much enjoyed our naptime, happy hour at the Library, views from the room, and eating a midnight gas station meal with the midnight sun shining through the windows. Very pleasant place to stay during our 24 hour stopover in Iceland and we can’t wait to go back next year!"

"Great hotel for overnight stays after arrival/before departure. Access to clean, tidy kitchen, cooker, fridge etc. free coffee/hot chocolate machine and chilled/sparkling water was much appreciated. Would not hesitate to recommend."
