Great hotel

Everywhere in Wales people have been friendly, but the cream of the friendliness was this place and their staff. They made you feel like family.

This was our first time staying at a hotel that wasn't staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodations were very modern. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to both train and bus stations. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet. We didn't hear street noise. Stairs are steep, as others have noted. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Loved the charm of the Lodge.

We enjoyed this lovely hotel. It was close to the castle, and restaurants and shopping. The staff were warm and helpful. They were delighted to tell us the history of the building. I especially liked the lounge and the outside, roof terrace for added relaxation.

Amazing gem hidden in the country. Very comfortable rooms, relaxing, fun atmosphere in restaurants and bar with delicious food. We weren’t traveling with children, but there were amazing play areas, indoor and outdoor for children.

The evening staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean. Hotel entrance was hard to find, however once we did everything was great. Very convenient to the city center and the Cardiff Castle.

Such a lovely inn. The staff was wonderful. The deck was a charming place to spend a sunny afternoon. Food was delicious! Despite feeling like we were in a country town, It was about 10 minutes from the airport. Typical narrow hedge row roads all around!
