Few shops but anything you needed you could find. Locals all lovely. The food in 'The Pub' was absolutely delicious, as was the cafe on the main street that does OAP fish supper deals. Food all freshly cooked. Transport on the train was good value

"Great location. Friendly, helpful staff. Very comfortable bedroom. Only quibble was with the coffee/ hot water machine. Temperamental. Such good table service could include a pot of tea or coffee? "
"Excellent position overlooking seafront. Low ceilings and steep stairs to attic room but understandable given age of building. No dedicated parking but can park close by (free) provided not at a busy time with daytrippers. Excellent meals served in bar."
"The hosts, Elaine and Alan, went out of their way to make my stay super comfortable. The room was lovely and also quiet. The hosts were welcoming and very helpful. Alan even, very kindly, drove me to the railway station in the morning"
"The night staff and dinner ataff were amazing. The morning staff was not their at 8 am, as stated, ao we did not get breakfast before leaving. The morning manager waa rude via messaging and called us liars even though we were there at 8 am and knocked. "
