COMIS Hotel & Golf Resort

"Really nice stay for 4 nights, staff at reception and the restaurant/BAR were very accommodating. Food was excellent and we dined two nights at the hotel. Only small thing was the state of the dining room tables. Glass stains, worn material which could easily be rectified by covering with a tablecloth."

"I stayed here for the 2026 Classic TT & MGP . This Hotel is located on the promenade. There is a 24 Hour Reception desk. There is a lift inside the Hotel. Communication from the staff was great. My room was spotless but smaller than the pictures I had seen before I made the booking. You can ask for room service if you want. Breakfast takes place in the basement. They do bar meals from 11.00 am. Staff customer service skills were fantastic majority of the time. On 26/8 I got back up to do myself another slice of brown toast when I got to the big toaster there was two males already using the big toaster so I patiently waited my turn a minute later when I returned to my table to find my half cup of coffee & half cup of orange juice had been cleared from my table which was frustrating so I spoke up to the staff which I received an apology. I had no other problems at this hotel. They do have Entertainment on in the bar & piano every evening. The prices for Alcoholic drinks were overpriced"

"Have just concluded a four night stay in the William Suite at attic level in the historic but beautifully and completely renovated Derby House. Is perfectly located moments from restaurants and the bus stop. Cafe and wine bar are downstairs. The cafe Is a real hub in the town. Is the best place to stay in town as everywhere is walkable and only five minutes by car from the airport. Parking also moments away. Can only highly recommend. Do note that the top two suites are up the stairs so not ideal with heavy luggage or mobility issues - choose the first floor suites with lift access instead."

"The Devonian serves as an exceptional choice for budget-conscious travelers seeking convenience in Douglas. Positioned just a short walk from the promenade, local attractions, and dining, it offers a superior location compared to many other economical accommodations in the area. Our guest room was exceptionally clean and featured the added comfort of a private bathroom. The morning breakfast was competitively priced, complemented by outstanding, attentive service throughout our stay. Accessibility Considerations Stair-Only Access: The property lacks an elevator, which is typical for traditional buildings in the area. Mobility Note: Navigating the staircases—particularly to the upper floors—may pose a challenge for guests with mobility impairments. For solo travelers or groups without physical accessibility needs, the Devonian offers fantastic value, and I would gladly return for future visits."

"A brilliant location. Bus stops right in the square, you can get anywhere on the Island. The George is a bit tired but the staff and location makes up for it. Really enjoyed our stay"
