Excellent clean and cosy B&B in central location in Douglas, very close to promenade, horse tram stop and the Villa Marina. Kevin and Gillian were friendly and welcoming, and was able to store my luggage. Breakfast was excellent with one of the best selections I've seen in a hotel, especially as a vegetarian. Would like to return here to stay another time.

Good location and friendly staff. Bed was comfortable, but the room was dated and quite small. We paid extra for a bay window room but this was essentially pointless as the hotel was covered in scaffolding, it would've been nice to recieve something like a free breakfast to make up for this but nothing was offered. The walls were very thin and we could hear everything in the room next to ours including their alarm and TV.

The breakfasts were amazing, a lot of choice, not just the usual standard british breakfast. The staff were very good. The owners was very helpful when we had a medical emergency. The hotel is well located with a short walk to Douglas beach and the shops within easy reach. The only drawback for us was the stairs. There were a lot of them up to our room and no lift, but apart from that we had a lovely stay.

Old but fair hotel. rooms small, clean but with extremely poorly equipped very small and not so functional bathrooms. Staff was kind, room was serviced ok, breakfast acceptable though very slowly prepared. Ok for very short leisure stays. I would not reccomend it for business trips or for long stays.

My group and I had perhaps the best hotel experience we’ve ever had at The Devonian. I cannot say enough good words about how welcoming, friendly and helpful the staff (owner?) was. From arriving early morning and being able to put our bags in one of the rooms despite check in being hours later, to providing really helpful advice on navigating the bus strikes, just utterly exemplary. The hotel itself was beautiful, well kept, spotlessly clean and comfortable. I can’t fault it and would return without question if we ever go back to the Isle of Man.

Good location, very close to the ocean, downtown area, and ferry terminal. The property is an old house, so first impressions of the entrance is a bit shabby, worn carpets, etc. But, the room was comfortable and very clean. All in all, good value for money.
