Beautiful chateau, comfortable room, delicious food, and French wine. What more would you need for a true French experience! The hosts are a young couple from Belgium who truly love their chateau and enjoy sharing it with others. He is not only an excellent chef, but does an informative and delightful tour of their vineyards with wine tasting. She maintains the rooms and they are beautiful, cozy, and unique. The hotel is fantastic, the pool and the amenities in general are very neat. They offer us a baby crib and the front desk people were fantastic. The only bad side is if you do not speak French it was very difficult to get service at the one restaurant available because no one but the front decal and the manager speak English. I guess if you travel to a country where French is the first languages expected however for the price I would have expected more English friendly service.

This was a fantastic hotel, and drinking wine at one of the tables out by the vineyard was one of the best experiences we had on this vacation. They don't have a full restaurant, but they do sell wine and a cheese and meat plate, which is very nice (and served as our dinner one night). The small village where it is located, Aloxe-Corton, is very picturesque, but it does not have any restaurants or even a small store (there are other wine cellars, though, within a couple of hundred yards), so...
