I didn’t arrive at the Hotel until after 3am and checked out early, so wasn’t really there long enough to really rate the Hotel properly. I slept through breakfast so missed that. Our stay was transitional as we had an early flight the next morning and wanted to be close to the airport. We were offered an early check in which was great. Staff were friendly and offered suggestions on local area. The unit was perfect. Very clean and spacious. We would be interested in a longer term stay next time we are in Melbourne.
This place has a great location right on the main street and a vibrant pub with good food. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. My only complaint is that the bathroom smelled quite musty, but it disappeared after opening the windows and closing the bathroom door.
I really liked having a kitchenette. Cooking meals was a big bonus. One thing I didn't like is I couldn't figure out the nespresso machine. So I stuck to the instant coffee they supply. You can fill up on filtered water in the lobby. They do sell bags of chips, wine, beer, and soda in the lobby. Everything was very clean. Very nice staff.
The pub food was outstanding. The bed was one of the comfiest I have ever laid on, and I've stayed at a million hotels. Yes the lobby is under repair so access to the rooms is outside at the moment and there is no functional lift at this time. If that doesn't bother you, you'll thoroughly enjoy your stay.
