Everything was perfect. Property is beautiful and staffs are kind. I enjoyed fitness and sauna too. The only drawback is checkout time at 11am is a bit too early. Hope it is 12pm.
Really the perfect hotel for the museum tour, in easy walking distance to all of them. The canal is lovely and quiet, tons of busy restaurants in a 4-5 block radius, lively night-life, friendly, busy, fun. Lobby recently renovated and very enjoyable with a view of the canal -- the breakfast service is superlative. What's not to love? If you stay, book a panoramic room, you won't be disappointed.

All the rooms are different which makes them interesting. Comfortables beds, though pillows could be softer. Free bottle of champagne in suite was nice surprise. Loved the tea and pressed coffee set up in room for mornings or chilly afternoons. A steamer in the closet is better than ironing board. Using Hotel de Hallen as our home base during our recent trip to Amsterdam was one of the best decisions we made. The hotel is part of a complex of buildings that includes a food hall, shops, even a cinema. Lots of great restaurants, an outdoor market and several tram stops are within a few minutes walk. Charming! My room faced the beautiful garden and was the quietest place on earth. Hotel is in an old merchant's house facing the canal...lots of history with 21st century comfort. The staff was particularly helpful in locating my misplaced suitcase (airport issue). Location could not be better....short walk to the Dam and tram stop. Around the corner is the Tulip Museum, Ann Frank house and Westernkirke (free daily organ concert). I will definitely return.
