Great place to stay if you want easy, clean LARGE unit. Stocked kitchen makes it easy to save and cook meals. Large deck with table and hammocks overlooking the ocean and stairs to the beach isn't too shabby. 2 pools (1 adult and 1 kid) are very nice and there's a quiet, secluded beach right in front of you. Sea turtles nesting all over the beach. Great snorkeling in front of hotel and about a 15 min walk down the beach. Definitely a place to go if you want the "opposite of Cancun" experience.

My husband and I came to Akumal Bay for our honeymoon and we absolutely loved our stay! The service was fantastic and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We would absolutely come here again and plan to do so in the future.
