3 Star Hotels in Sengokuhara

I was originally worried because of the lack of reviews on Expedia, but the hotel was truly very beautiful. The rooms are very quiet and clean, and the hotel is right across the street from a 7-11, so you can get meals there if you need to. Transportation was a little tough, as there was not many trains, but there was a bus stop right outside the hotel which was convenient.

It was fantastic. Love the house!

Excellent service and quality of food.

The facility is absolutely gorgeous. The staff was very helpful and polite. The room was a lot bigger than we expected. We had our first Onsen experience here and everything was just so clean and thoughtfully put together. The ambiance of Hakone Fuga in general made us feel welcome and relaxed. The location is only a short taxi ride from the Togendai stop at the Hakone Ropeway. I’ll gladly be coming back here.

In-room onsen was amazing. Had to rinse it off first though because it looked pretty worn and had leaves and a few insects in it. No issues though. Felt amazing in the onsen. Way better than having to use the public one and had a great outdoor view of Mt Fuji in the background. Outdoor shower had way better pressure than bathroom shower.

The futon’s aren’t very thick so it can be a bit uncomfortable if you’re a side sleeper. Other than that our stay was great. The owner, Yudai, is incredible and has an excellent sense of hospitality. When I come to Hakone again this place will be at the top of my list.

This place was amazing from the moment we arrived. Taking your shoes off upon arrival is a must (as it is in most Japanese Places). Our bags were carried up to our room and we were served green tea. We were told about the amenities and even walked down to the onsens available. We had a room with our own hot spring tub on the balcony which I recommend that you book. The views of the lush green trees and mountains made for a picturesque and relaxing backdrop. The dinner and breakfast...

Very approachable for a more cultural, traditional experience. Was very easy for an American foreigner like myself to have a truly authentic experience. Staff is incredibly hospitable, helpful, patient, and capable. My first ryokan experience that I have Yusakaso to thank. Quality onsens, extraordinarily clean.
