Kadensho, Arashiyama Onsen, Kyoto - Kyoritsu Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely Japanese-style hotel with every amenity you could want: free coffee, onsen, laundry, robes, etc… Spacious, clean rooms. Loved the massage I booked! (As a side note: restaurants in the area close very early. We arrived after 7 pm and had no dining options. Apparently there is dining at the hotel restaurant if you book it as a package? We didn’t add it at the time of booking so we were left with dinner options from the mini mart across the street. Word to the wise. )"
Kyoto Omuro Kadensho(Kyoritsu Resorts)
10/10 Excellent
"Maybe the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in! The room was nice, but what really made this so special was the amenities: a lounge that serves beer and snacks, shared and private onsen (hot tubs), shuttle to Kyoto station, luggage transport service, free late-night ramen... all for free! The price was so reasonable for all you get. The staff was excellent, super helpful with everything we needed. There's a beautiful temple across the street that you need to check out, and key code across the street for nice breakfast"
Ryokan Sumiya Kihoan
10/10 Excellent
"This was the most beautiful accommodation! It was very relaxing and peaceful and the staff was very friendly!"
Togetsutei
10/10 Excellent
"Stayed in the room with a private bath, and its own interior water feature/mineral water stream. Possibly the best room(s - it was more of a suite) I’ve ever stayed in. Clean tatami mats, lovely meal, great private bath - we spent a lot of our visit just sitting next to the small waterfall/stream and reading."
La'gent Hotel Kyoto Nijo
10/10 Excellent
"Busy hotel with many international guests. Really nice clean and modern public bath, but no cold water bath or dry sauna, only a very spacious and peaceful rectangular public bath with nice outdoor window. Breakfast was great. No lattes at breakfast but very good coffee and juices. Hot dishes were very good as were pastries. About 8 min walk to Nijo station so convenient in many ways to the main subway lines in Kyoto. Would be happy to visit again."
MUNI KYOTO
10/10 Excellent
"Amazing staff, stunning views of the river, superb breakfast, the garden views were chefs kiss!"
Ben's Guesthouse Kyoto
8/10 Good
"The room was clean and bigger than expected Small kitchenette at the entrance Small pot was missing only the big casserole Very nice to have laundry The location is good and quiet but closest bus is 7 min from the property"
Ryokan Yamazaki
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice Ryokan! Slightly removed from the core but there are 2 buses that regularly go into town so its not a huge issue. We stayed in the private room on the lower floor with the private zen garden, highly recommend if its available as it was amazing for late night drinks, and the sounds of night and the river that runs beside the ryokan. A must stay for a traditional experience! One Laundry + dryer on site for a small charge (plus you need to buy a detergent packet from the front desk, 200yen). The Japanese style breakfast was delicious, make sure you let the staff know the day before if youd like to have it, its 1500yen per person and well worth it! Will definitely be staying here again next time."
Hotel Excellence Enmachi Ekimae
