"Super clean and the staff are friendly. Really enjoyed them! "

"Nice grounds and clean, comfortable room."

"The property is well maintained and secure. Breakfast buffet had lots of options. Food was OK."

"Absolutely loved my stay here. I visited South Africa for a conference, which was held at Birchwood. The team are incredibly friendly and helpful. I would go as far as to say it was some of the best hospitality I’ve experienced at a hotel in years. The complex is peaceful and beautiful, and the rooms are large. The restaurant is great, food was fantastic, and the support we received for the conference was exceptional. I’d definitely stay at Birchwood again if u return to South Africa"

"Very convenient on both sides of a trip to Limpopo. Rooms were clean, location safe with convenient shopping and restaurants. We needed a few extra hours and they accommodated without hesitation."

"This property was great, except it was way too far from anything to do in Johannesburg unless you rent a car. Uber’s work too but offset savings of lodging price."

"Very good spot for an overnighter. Lovely breakfast."

"Lovely location outside Jo’burg. Good for a night on the way to Krueger or between flights. Lovely gardens, staff and good food - make sure you pre-book dinner if needed - great quality and quantity."

"I stayed at Protea by Marriott O.R. Tambo Airport Hotel during my overnight connection in Johannesburg. It was a pleasant stay. The hotel has a nice restaurant. It is a 10 minute shuttle ride from the airport. I will plan to stay at this hotel again."
