As a woman traveling alone my top priority is always safety. This was my first trip to South Africa and i was a bit nervous. Arthur promptly picked me up from the airport and I felt safe. I just needed a place to get a hot shower, some good sleep, and a hot meal. It was a quick overnight stop for me in between flights. I could not have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend, especially if you are a solo traveler with safety concerns.

This is a very nice hotel. Our travel itinerary had us flying into the Johannesburg airport late afternoon and flying out the next day, so we booked this because it looked close to the airport. It is actually attached to the airport, above the parking lot, with a fully enclosed walkway from baggage claim to the hotel. (Grab a luggage cart, it is a long walk.) The hotel is surprisingly nice! It is right in Johannesburg OR Tambo airport. So convenient. Clean and very comfortable. Very good & helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Hard to find fault with this hotel

We stayed for 1 night before getting picked up for a safari. Convenient airport shuttle (pickup from Intercontinental hotel) - nice bar and breakfast buffet.

I was initially sceptical after reading some obviously pretty judgemental reviews. It's an airport hotel, it's not a resort and as such it does really well. It's clean and safe and has anything and everything a traveling person would need.

This is the perfect airport inn, staff were super accommodating with my awkward check in time! They gave me a hair dryer to use! Definitely worth it for an overnight or quick stop in for a nap and shower!

Safety is of prime concern in South Africa, and African Pride is in an island of security in Melrose Arch along with a group of stores, a mall, and many restaurants. An easy drive to Rosebank Sunday Market and the Apartheid Museum. An hour to Maropeng and Prretoria. Highly recommend!
