Property seemed very nice, though the picture advertised is a”wee” bit different. Hotel looks lovely inside but had a weird dam smell in the hallways. Like many hotels in Europe - NO AC which is rough, but they did bring up a small fan. Surrounding area is cute with little shops, bars and cafes and seemed cleaner - less graffiti and more “Kept up” than central Glasgow. They obviously need to spend more money to clean it up and its reminds me of some crappy areas in Manhattan that have bend let...
The staff was incredibly friendly. The historic building is beautiful. The room was spacious and had a kitchen. Everything was spotless. The bathroom shower was large, great water pressure and temperature. The bed is super comfortable. They don't make up the rooms daily, as it is an apartment hotel. I'm so sad that we were only in town for one night. My sister and I did a road trip around Scotland, and this was our last night. It was the BEST hotel we stayed in. The staff was amazing and nice.
