"This is the second year in a row that we have stayed at the Wessex in Cowichan Bay. This time we stayed for 3 nights in a newly renovated room. The staff was kind and accommodating and there are great shops and restaurants a short walk down the road. I will be booking another getaway there next summer!"

"On the outside this hotel is older, once I entered though my concerns went away. The staff member that checked me in was very friendly and helpful. The lobby contained a lot of pamphlets in case you haven't visited the peninsula before. The room was your typical older hotel room but clean an well appointed. Breakfast was included in the price and I expected the usual fare. They had cheese omelets, bacon, cereal, cinnamon buns and yogurt, there was more, I just can't remember it all. I will definitely stay here a again and I have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone."

"Room was very clean. Staff were very helpful, I had three heavy suitcases and there was no elevator, staff carried my suitcases up a narrow stairway when I arrived and back down again when I checked out. Food at the cafe was great !!"
