Stay Inn Muskoka

"When you first pull up to the property, you may not expect much, but once we got into the room, our expectations were definitely exceeded. We stayed in a double room on the first floor. The room was extremely clean, smelled fresh, and had clearly been recently updated. The finishes were very well done, and although the bathroom was small, it was clean and functional. The only thing worth noting is that there are active train tracks directly behind the property. A train does pass by a couple of times a day, and one around 11 p.m. startled and woke our kids. If you’re not a light sleeper, this likely won’t be an issue, but light sleepers may want to bring earplugs or use white noise. I hadn’t seen this mentioned in the other reviews I read, so I thought it was worth noting. That said, it would not personally be a dealbreaker for us. Overall, check-in was easy, communication was good, and the property itself is very well done. The back area is also beautiful, peaceful, and a great place to relax. We had a very positive stay overall."

"The rooms were set up nice. Fridge, microwave and even a nice sized table and chairs. The rooms are a little musty and the bathroom needs a little TLC but otherwise it was good. Comfy beds and a good price"

"Staff is accommodating and friendly! The views were incredibly! Food was excellent with lots of choices. Amenities are top notch and the pools are lovely and clean. Beach staff were very nice and the grounds are well kept. We will be back again! Thank you for your hospitality!"

"We were pleasantly surprised by this facility, as we were aware that it is quite old. The location was perfect…..quiet, wooded, and with a lovely expansive waterfront that was very private. Our balcony looked through trees onto a wonderful panoramic lake view. Our unit was most pleasant….clean, bright and very functional. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was top notch….attractive and felt great! The lighting in the bathroom was much appreciated as it was very bright. Our only disappointment was the shower as there was not a hand held option for showering. We would definitely return and have already recommended this property to others. "The place is beautiful, and the owners are very accommodating. They even let us stay in a bigger room, which we really appreciated. Everything was clean, and the lakefront was really nice. The rooms and washrooms were also very clean. It’s an excellent place to stay, especially for first-time visitors. They also have a fire pit (i think u can bring wood or just buy it there), BBQ tools (you just have to pay for the gas), and equipment you can use at the lake. Overall, we had a great stay!"
