Nice hotel, 500 mtrs from Renfe metro rail takes 26mins to SOL, very convenient. 5 mins to bus stop.
From Airport Take 827 to Tres cantos, we used bus to and fro to airport T4. Convenient buses every 20mins on weekdays and every 1hr on weekends. Fare is 2.6 euros per person. Cab would have been 40 euros.
Good breakfast served from 6.45am to 10.30am.

We chose EXE for the location. Train station, attached grocery store and hotel. Didn’t get a drop of rain on us. One 35 minute train gets you to downtown, two trains get you to the Airport, the ticket machine at the train stations in metro Madrid are very poorly worded in the English language was my only complaint at all and not a reflection on the hotel.
I am a fan of Barcelo hotels but not of this one, i felt a little disappointed for the cost of the stay, but being in Madrid explained why is such this way. I uber most of the time and cost varies depending on time of the day but with a big increment for busy hours, the room was comfortable and quiet we had street view. Later in my stay i discovered that the metro stationPlaza Castilla, was in walking distance from there but I can’t say much because did not ride the it. There are few options...
We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and absolutely loved it! Although it's located on a busy street, our room was very quiet thanks to the noise-cancelling windows and electric shutters. We had a family double room for 3 adult and it’s roomy and comfortable. Right on Gran Via so it’s so easy for shopping and dining. The hotel has a roof top bar which has a beautiful view of Madrid. It’s an excellent place to spend the evening with friends/family.

The Wellington Hotel is very well located and it is truly a 5 star hotel. The service is impeccable, with great amenities, nightly turndown service, and an excellent executive lounge.
