I am a fan of Barcelo hotels but not of this one, i felt a little disappointed for the cost of the stay, but being in Madrid explained why is such this way. I uber most of the time and cost varies depending on time of the day but with a big increment for busy hours, the room was comfortable and quiet we had street view. Later in my stay i discovered that the metro stationPlaza Castilla, was in walking distance from there but I can’t say much because did not ride the it. There are few options...

Very convenient location for walking to many shops and bars and restaurants. Even Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts one block away Staff was young, spoke English and very helpful. Loved our location with a small balcony overlooking the street. The windows and shutters did an amazing job blocking out street noise and lights. Minor problems: not much overall good lighting. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the bedside lights--there was a switch on the bottom of the bed along with a switch...
