Learn more about Marblehead

Centuries-old homes lean at odd angles along streets that seem designed by a drunken sailor. Fort Sewall offers harbor views where you can watch sailboats tacking against the wind with balletic precision. The Jeremiah Lee Mansion surprises with hand-painted wallpaper that somehow survived 250 years of New England winters. Locals debate which beach is superior - Gas House for sunsets or Devereux for morning swims. Fishermen's tales grow taller at waterfront cafes where chowder recipes are guarded like state secrets. The Marblehead Light stands sentinel over a harbor that once launched privateers and now launches weekend regattas. Duck into the King Hooper Mansion when fog rolls in, as it inevitably will, transforming this seafaring town into a maritime ghost story.

Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill

Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill

8/10 Good
"The location was conveniently-located so it was easy to get to some of the places we needed to go to (ie, Logan airport, the MFA, Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market), but overall, nothing was excellent here. Everything was just good. The rooms were okay-sized (not great); the hotel was clean (just enough that I didn't feel I had to wear slippers); there were some amenities at least (they have a pool you can actually swim in and the rooms provide lotion - yay). Negatives: Every night we were there, Room Service always shortchanged us 1 towel, so we always needed to call to get another towel. When calling, it always took minimum of 15 minutes for someone to pick up, and then another 15-60 minutes to get a towel. We also needed a tissue box and one was never replaced in the 3 days we were there. I had to find a housekeeping cart to snag one myself."

"This is one of the best hotels I have been to. Very clean. They have water stations on the 6th and 8th floor to fill up water bottles or make tea and coffee. They also give free water bottles at the front desk. Great staff. Great environment. Clean beds. The Parker Bar was great and had lovely staff as well."

"The staff..all of them from front desk to door and valet staff were amazing. I don’t believe I have ever stayed in a hotel where the entire staff was as engaged and friendly. They seemed to genuinely want to make our stay the best ever and all of them gave the air of people who love what they do. One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had! I highly recommend this hotel both for the great location but even more for the extraordinary staff!!"

"Great location. Close to the city and public transport. The room was clean but the only window opened to the inside hallway so there was no natural light. The continental breakfast consisted of bread, bagels, cereal, apples and oranges."

"I stayed at this hotel after a few years. The hotel has been completely remodeled and is really nice. There was a problem with the air conditioning on the sixth floor, so the staff promptly moved us to a similar room on the fourth floor. Staff were pleasant and helpful!"
