It is a still working mill and together Mike and Linda team up to provide excellent and healthy food using the mill as well and old cook books.
Dinner was fabulous and breakfast was a surprise each time.
The house is old obviously, but is kept very clean.
We even got clean towels daily!
We certainly recommend to have a romantic dinner on the day of arrival sitting at the porch overlooking the waterfall!
This recently opened hotel was such a great stay. The staff were amazing, the room was great and the location is in the best spot. The only thing to note is that there is no microwave, but it wasn’t a big deal for us since we didn’t have too many left overs.

The Dilliard House is a beautiful place in a quiet location. There was a bonfire on Saturday night with free s'mores kits. There's rocking chairs on the patio of each room. The room was nice and cozy.
Unfortunately, the pool wasn't open yet, and there was some construction. This would be a great place for a retreat or a reunion.
tTis property is on the river. Ask for a room on the main level on the river side and you'll have a window looking out on the river/ Plus only $15 per night for pets is so reasonable. The staff from front desk to cleaning crew were friendly and helpful. We walked into town and was 5-10 minutes away. Highly recommend.
We really wanted to stay near downtown for convenience to dining and brewery. This is a lovely building with good history and very welcoming. Rooms are all different which add to the character. We will be staying again on upcoming trips to Franklin!
Wonderful place to stay in Highlands. Clean, quiet, easy walk to town. Atmosphere is nice. Rooms are perfect. Also meets our budgetary needs in a town where accommodations are ultimately unaffordable. We greatly appreciate Trailborn Inn.
Perfect place for a couples getaway and the restaurant is excellent. The lake area provides a beautiful and scenic drive. My only regret is the room I booked. It was way too small and located right by the coffee station on the hallway. Paper thin walls kept us from getting much sleep. There are other rooms that would probably be great but ours was not.
