This Queens neighborhood sits surrounded by Jamaica Bay waters, offering scenic coastal views and a genuine small-town atmosphere. Bird watchers flock to the adjacent Wildlife Refuge while fishermen cast lines from weathered docks. The low-rise homes on stilts and boat-filled driveways create a maritime village vibe. Fresh seafood spots and casual delis serve locals and visitors alike, though dining options close early. "We love this hotel! Our daughter goes to NYU and the location is perfect. Our check in ritual is to head over to Whole Foods and the wine shop on Bowery to stock up the mini fridge. The rooms and common spaces are immaculate. Early complimentary coffee on the Lobby level is so appreciated. Can't wait for our next stay!"
