It’s always a pleasure to stay at Hampton Inn and Suites Astoria. The Astoria Riverwalk is directly behind the hotel. Pier 39 is a short walk down the wooden pier. The Hotel’s Full breakfast is being served once again from 6-10 AM.
The property and our room was nice and clean. The hotel is right next to a Safeway so it made it easy to get anything we forgot to bring with us on our trip. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be staying there again anytime we pass through.
This hotel is in an area away from restaurants/ shops that are within easy walking distance. The immediate area was safe but empty, ie the surrounding buildings were businesses that were not open in the evening/ weekends.
That being said the hotel has friendly staff, even if they were using walkie talkies in the hallways before 0800 (the reason for 4 out of 5 stars). The amenities were well cared for and clean. The addition of clam chowder available in the evenings was nice. It was pretty tasty....
Great option for staying in downtown Astoria; the location is excellent. The room we stayed in had some plaster coming off the wall next to the sink, but all else was in good shape.
This downtown hotel has been renovated, but the old style of the property remains with hardwood floors in the lobby. There is a nice sitting area in front of the fireplace on one side and a wine bar/breakfast area on the other. We were in room 302, a corner room at the top of the stairs. Hotel Elliott's slogan is Wonderful Beds and they are 100% correct. Comfortable queen bed and room and remodeled bathroom was perfect. They have a free-standing air conditioner that we never had to use. We...
Knowing that this hotel is in a building from the 1940s, I believe, and that the room I booked didn't have it's own bathroom, and also seeing that it's prices are some of the lowest in town, I didn't have my expectations too high. When I arrived I found that things were mostly as expected: the floors creaked a bit, the room was small, and yes the bathroom was down the hall, but I didn't expect to find myself enjoying the atmosphere as much as I did! The room itself was heavenly, despite it's...
I've stayed here a couple years in a row, after my favorite place became too fancy/expensive. This is my new "go to". I'm not a golfer, but it's still fun and quiet and relaxing. I wish there were more dining options, though. Oh well, no big deal. While this place is not super luxe, it's clean, tidy and well-run. I'll be back.
Made last minute plans. Excited that we found this place .staff was great and super friendly. I’d stay here again . That’s all I got I’m just a guy from Sandy Oregon.
