I can’t say enough good things about The Herondale Hotel! We were greeted with signature mocktails at check-in, and our room was beautiful and immaculately clean. The amenities and the view from our room were just the cherry on top. Highly recommend! They’re also dog-friendly! 🐾

We did not take advantage of hot tub, cold plunge or sauna but will next time. Property was very clean, quiet and staff especially helpful-bringing out plates for us when we were setting up charcuterie by the fire ring. Breakfast was good. Only thing I would change is coffee in the room-the instant coffee was strong enough for two cups and I’m Scandinavian!

Very nice place to stay with a spacious and lovely room with good amenities. Tha staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The outside amenities were excellent including a great open view of the Columbia River with a good seating area with a nice firepit, seating for eating, hot tub/plunge pool, dry/wet sauna, and a cold water plunge barrel. A refreshing drink was offered at arrival. The bed was comfortable. Only negative is the closeness to a busy highway - so some noise at times. Overall - a very pleasant stay!

This was a welcomed surprise for us late on a Saturday evening, as the staff was enthusiastic and accommodating…even grabbed some champagne flutes for my wife and I to enjoy with the bottle of champagne we had traveled with for our anniversary, which we enjoyed by the outside fire with several of the hotel’s “small plate” offerings available while taking in the amazing view of the Columbia River and lights of the anchored barges. Hot tub, sauna, cold plunge…all great outdoor amenities. The room’s balcony was a great place to watch the river as well, complete with a pair of binoculars they had on the desk in the room. Shower with its waterfall head was amazing. Great quiet niche perch is a perfect getaway in Astoria!

Don't let the streetside appearance of the property sway your decision to visit. Once they complete all the landscaping and sign appearance certainly will enhance the entrance. Staff always asked us if we needed anything during our stay. Views from our 2nd floor river view room and balcony were fabulous. Complete with Binoculars in the rooms to watch ship movements along the columbia river. Although the beds were low and a bit uncomfortable the pillows and overall room and property cleanliness was excellent. We will stop in again if we travel thru Astoria.

First I want to say that first impressions can be deceiving...the hotel does not have great curb appeal but once we parked and walked to the check-in area it was like a hidden oasis. The rooms are modern and clean, the staff is amazing and the views are stunning. I was in Astoria for a Goonies road trip with two of my lifelong friends and ending the trip with a stay at the Herondale was the cherry on top. We will definitely be back.

The hotel is completely remodeled and it is beautiful. Staff was very friendly and the glass of wine a check in is a nice touch! The beds were very comfortable and the view of the Astoria bridge and the river is stunning! 10/10!
