Great boutique hotel in the heart of Astoria. Very walkable to food and shops. It’s an older building but retrofitted very well in my opinion. Great place to stay!

This charming hotel could not be better located. We were easily able to walk to almost anything we wanted to do and got a feel for the downtown just by staying there. The staff was super helpful and friendly, and our room was clean, comfortable, with tons of character. We will definitely be back!

Great little hotel right down town in Astoria. Our room was clean and comfortable. It is however, very noisy with street traffic. Finishes and furnishings were not of the highest quality but fine for what we paid for the room. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

Front desk staff were awesome! Room and toilet facility were as described, but shared bathroom exceeded my expectations. On-site restaurant was excellent. Very nice stay.

There's nothing to fault at this place it's cosy and amazing. The location is perfect and everyone is really friendly. Rooms are clean and tidy. Don't let the shared bathroom situation put you off if there are no private bathroom rooms available. Everything was well maintained and clean. The whole establishment has a huge comfort vibe. Easy all day free street parking just two blocks away

Really funky cool hotel. Friendly staff. Very clean. Older building so; I would want to be on the top floor next time. Loud squeaky floors when people staying above you. Still; a very fun experience.

The front desk person was very nice, but I think the norm now with many hotels - is to have minimal staff at front desk. She didn't give me a receipt when I checked in, and they had already charged my room. I think that is because there is no refund if you cancel within a day or something. There was a sign at the front desk - to call a number or email if we need anything. We really enjoyed our room and everything else. Great location.

The Front staff /mangers were great , they work so hard doing everything! They stored our bikes, they cleaned rooms, they used their own phone to help us get our bikes locked up when they were away from the desk. The rooms are way too hot. I think they may need AC as the climate warms up, sooner than later! They building is old and you can hear everything above you. No insulation in the walls and floors it seems - so hard to sleep. The food situation next door use to be great! It was way too expensive for hardly any food. Why not serve toast when you pay for eggs for breakfast. I had "fruit and yogurt w/granola". I got 3 tiny slices of an apple and jam. Jam is not fruit. It is summer, this is when fruit is in season! Please be more generous.

The Commodore Hotel was a neat place to stay. The location is in the heart of downtown, so you have the ability to walk everywhere you need, without really any issues. The restaurant below (Broder Strand) had a great menu and coffee shop, and the place overall was friendly and welcoming. One of the best things is that it was dog-friendly, and most of Astoria is dog-friendly too, which made the experience even better.

Location to everything was great. Cost was a good value. Beware of the noise though. They provided ear plugs on the night stand for good reason. Traffic sound all night long. Friendly staff.

This was such a lovely place to stay with character and comfort. We slept wonderfully, our bed was very comfortable-in fact so comfy my partner and I would like to know the retailer they use haha. We will be coming back no doubt. The staff were courteous and helpful. We stayed in the option of a private room and shared restroom and shower- as this was the only option for busy Memorial Day weekend. We wanted to stay here from the location and accommodations we researched. Pleasantly surprised by how well they kept things and the amenities provided to us. There is even an excellent breakfast option available next door called, “Stranded.” Parking was a little complicated for the busy weekend but, we managed and the town is quite walkable.

Classy old dated hotel. Our room was lovely, bed was comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. We wanted to stay in one of Astoria's haunted hotels while staying out at the coast, and while we didn't get every spooky thing we hoped for, we did get a couple unexplained experiences. Would love to stay here again. Only complaint (minor) was that we did a lap around a couple blocks before finding out that it's street parking only for this hotel. Had no problem getting a good parking space once that was sorted however.

Location is excellent if you want to spend time in the heart of Astoria. You're steps away from the boardwalk and several restaurants and bars/breweries. The hotel is pretty well maintained, although it is older (but has a certain charm to it). I realized that I rarely stay at a place without A/C, so that was the biggest challenge. As others have mentioned, if you try to open your windows to get fresh air in, it's really noisy on the street. The only time Astoria feels (sounds) like a big city is when you're trying to sleep with the window open. There's a reason they leave earplugs on the nightstand. The bathroom also showed its age a bit, although the shower worked well. It was odd having a nearly empty bottle of Soft Soap on the sink, but it got the job done. The lobby restaurant looked really nice, and was busy for breakfast, but I did not try it. I can see why people enjoy this hotel and its location, but I think the lack of A/C coupled with the inability to have the windows open made it just a little too uncomfortable for me considering the price.
