"My stay at the Oceanview Hotel was great, but what truly sets it apart is the owner, Edgar, and his wonderful family. They are incredibly hospitable and friendly. We struck up a conversation over lunch at the hotel restaurant—where the food was excellent—and ended up talking about sports. When Edgar learned that I play pickleball at home, he invited me to join his family that evening for a game. I was in town on business to visit a cruise ship, and Edgar even went out of his way to drive me to the port so I wouldn’t have to get a cab. That level of kindness is rare. I definitely recommend staying here."

"Our recent visit to Veranda Resort Hotel was a last minute decision based on an unplanned trip to Roatan. However, we were lucky to find very affordable rates through Travelocity, which proved to be a steal. What we found was an amazing 5 star accomodations that began with our check-in, assisted by a young lady named Sam, followed up by dinner, and a personable staff, headed by the Manager Hector, who introduced us to several local drink options, and his staff. "That staff was super nice and helpful. The area is very relaxing. There are not a lot of things to do other than relax. Although the swimming at the beach is accessible there is not really walk in snorkeling right at Camp Bay, so we did a day trip for snorkeling and had a great time. The food at the restaurant was some of the best food we had on the island."

"We were here for scuba diving, the dive shop was excellent and would definitely come back just for that reason. They are making improvements ariund the property to make it better. The food definitely needs improvement though."
