Hands down one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had in my life. The tiny house was clean, wonderfully decorated. It included snacks and some small gifts that made the stay even more special. The bed and linens were amazingly comfortable. It was wonderful to sit outside in the hot tub or inside by the fire. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Just book it. You will not regret it! The kitchen is well-appointed, bed is very comfortable, the deck chairs are great, and the staff was lovely! No railing outside, so don’t bring little kids (noted in the description). Driveway is a bit steep but you need 4wd in Monteverde anyway. Lots of great markets or restaurants nearby!
Room was nicely decorated. Staff was friendly. Nice view out back of room into the woods.
We had a 7:00 am tour so we couldn’t utilize regular breakfast. They made us a sandwich, fruit, and juice which was appreciated, but if all that was done, they could have just as easily fed us normal breakfast a little early. Also, a little difficult to check out and still be able to access your car when you return.

One of a kind place to stay! Very comfortable and well equipped with great attention to detail. There are AC, fans, heaters. Kitchenette has all needed appliances. We stayed for one night only, but wished our travel schedule would have allowed to stay there for at least two nights.

We booked a single night here at the very last minute trying to escape the heat of the west coast beach towns. We were so glad we did. This hotel is absolutely stunning. We had one of the rooms upstairs from the lobby rather than one of the bungalows but the room was amazing with a spacious first floor, kitchenette, balcony and a very cool loft bedroom/bath. The cabins are quite basic, but the setting more than makes up for it—beautiful views and a peaceful location. Ronny is an excellent host and very welcoming.
The grounds at the hotel are amazing. The tropical gardens that surround the guest rooms, paths, and pool make for a very relaxing stay. The rooms are spaced well apart and have a lot if privacy from the covered verandas. The views are incredible. The location is perfect for exploring and taking advantage of the many activities in the area.
super cute cabins in the middle of the cloud forest! I loved staying here. it was very windy making it a bit scary, but I put the mat under the door to make the door not jiggle and I was fast asleep. we had number 15 and it was perfect. it was a king bedroom suite, living room, kitchen and huge bathroom! I will absolutely recommend to everyone i know going to Costa Rica! #puravida
Outstanding place to stay! Beautiful grounds, great accommodations and excellent staff! We saw so many wonderful birds thanks to their feeding station. We did their night walk tour and it was fascinating! I’d highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed if your looking for beautiful grounds, great service and bird watching.
Place was clean and basic. Liked that shopping and restaurants were walkable distance (uphill coming back can be a challenges). I loved that you can book tours through the reception area.

The stay was amazing ! Beautiful place with the most extravagant service I received in a foreign country. The reception desk was top of the line and the restaurant staff. A great location above the city of Canas and 40 minutes away from Liberia airport. I was able to check out the Rescata La Puma which was very nice as well
Hotel was in a quiet area of Monteverde and you felt very secluded, although you were very close to town and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful with making reservations for the tours we took. Bring some warm clothing as it can get a little chilly in the early morning and at night.
