We really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was great, the view was beautiful. We had a car so it was a very short drive into town. The food was delicious. I highly recommend Choco Cafe. We had a great stay at Cala lodge.

Amazing property. Great trail, we did an improvised night walk ourselves and saw lots of animals including an owl. 4 types of breakfast to choose from (all very tasty) and 3 to 5pm coffee with cakes. One of the highlights of our trip.

The room, staff and amenities were all 5 stars. We were in the main lodge above the restaurant and got ZERO sleep either night we were there because of the constant banging throughout the night. It was so bad it almost ruined Monteverde for us :(
