The communal spa changing rooms are not everyone's 'cup of tea' It would appear that the reception computer could do with an update as it took some time to recognize our booking NB The hotel is on the main A591 at the Cockermouth turning. If using the post code Sat Nav will send you to the remote Bassenthwaite village."

"My first Ibis, probably not the last. It was clean and comfortable and the hot breakfast option was good. Centrally located so it was probably noisy on the side facing Botchergate but they do provide complementary earplugs, my room overlooked a private car park so the earplugs were not required but were used at the Blues Festival."
