"Fab hotel in Salzburg for our 4 night stay. Comfortable bed and clean, large room. In a quiet area and a 20 min bus ride from the airport. 10 minute walk to the train station. Very close to the shops and sights. Would stay again if in Salzburg."
"Awesome hotel in the heart of the Old Town. A historic cinema still operates in the basement and first floors, and our son loved the popcorn machine outside the theater. Our room (superior double) was nice and large with an updated bathroom and plenty of space for 2 adults and a child. The staff were all very friendly and helpful in providing directions, making reservations, etc. Our son loved his cute present for reading the Leo book provided at check-in. A grocery store and numerous...
"Located in the Old Town close to all attractions, this small hotel is a perfect place to stay and rest while enjoying the amazing sights of Salzburg. "
"Super friendly staff, clean room, very nice breakfast area with nice choices, located near all the hot spots of Salzburg wouldn’t mind staying here again!"
"Well located hotel near the train station, coach tours and Mirabell Gardens. An easy 10-12 min walk to the old town and river. Hotel is clean and well looked after. The rooms are modern and straightforward. The beds comfy and good bathrooms. It is quiet too. Excellent staff and a lovely and popular restaurant. Excellent schnitzel. A very good stay in a beautiful city."
"Nice hotel in great location with very friendly staff ..a bit dated but that just adds to the character of the building ..only stayed one night but thats good enough to enjoy salzburg "
"The apartment was lovely, very historic and modern at the same time! The "new town" location is perfect for exploring Salzburg with lots of dining choices nearby as well as a Spar grocery store. "
"The facilities were clean (toilets, showers). Simple to check in and out.
Note that the hostel is on top of the hill. So each time you would have to climb up and down the Monchsberg.
Some areas of improvement or things to take note:
1. Since it’s next to a nature reserve, there are bugs in the room and your bed if you open the windows. Perhaps bring some bug nets to place over the window.
2. The temperature controls were not working and there was no fan in the room. Two of the three nights...
"We were on the salzrach river across from old town Salzburg. The hotel was luxurious, the staff professional and helpful, and the room was quiet and spacious. We were never farther than a 10-15 minute walk from the places we wanted to go."

Wonderful experience in this amazing hotel. To the points that matter the most: room was very comfortable (including very nice bed and excellent shower pressure); breakfast with great variety and good quality; staff very polite and helpful; check in and check out very fast and efficient.
Definitely coming back and definitely recommend to others!
Located on a square, directly opposite Mozart's house, this graceful and gracious hotel was close to everything we wanted to do. It is within sight of the pedestrian bridge (the "locks bridge") across the river to the old town center.
Our junior suite was large and well decorated, with a wonderfully spacious bath. Mirror everywhere. Comfortable bed.
Breakfast is a feast and included with the room. Irresistible pastries, abundant and delicious cheeses, slices of ham, prosciutto, turkey...
The staff here could not be nicer… From the sweet staff at the breakfast buffet to the welcome staff at the front desk they made my stay in Salzburg so nice! Stephanie and Nina will help you at the front desk with anything you need! I didn’t get the names of the servers, but they were super! The location was absolutely perfect. Just a few steps away from Mozartplatz and the cathedral and the festival house, Goldgasse and all the shopping… the new town was just a 10 minute walk to the...
There is nothing I didn't like except for probably a weirdly working AC, that allowed for a very limited range of temperatures to be set.
The definite and GREAT positive is the location within walking distance to all major places to see.
While it was tricky for the Uber driver to get to the location, it was a very convenient location, close to dining and shopping and the fortress, which was what we wanted. Very friendly and helpful staff. Most spacious room we had on our trip that spanned five countries! Quiet location, comfortable bed. Enjoyed the stay thoroughly and would love to go back!
The service at this hotel is impeccable. All the staff we encountered, from restaurant to housekeeping to front desk, were polite, professional, and welcoming. Our room, albeit expensive, was large, well-appointed, and oozed Old-World charm. Delighted with our choice; well worth the cost!
Jorge was so welcoming. He was always available to offer a suggestion or direction
The facility was VERY nicely appointed from the towels and sheets to the tissues. Every light was spot lighting a beautiful object in the room. The ligjts would come on magically as you entered and turned off just as effortlessly.
The common area on the second floor was a wonderful addition and allowed for an open space to enjoy wine and a snack.
Our stay from 17-20 May 2015 at the Schloss Hotel in Salzburg, Austria, was probably one of the best hotels we've stayed at. We were pleasantly surprised to find this hotel so beautiful and picturesque. The front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were absolutely customer oriented and very accommodating to our requests. The front desk made all of our tour reservations; they treated us like royalty!!!! The restaurant staff was superb; the food was delicious and very filling!! And, we...
Great location! Great apartment, modern, clean and full of amenities. The only thing that would have been great was to have an iron, but we made due. I would stay here again!
This is an annex of the wonderful little hotel Trumer Stube, and is a more than serviceable walk-up apartment in a very central and exciting location. The owners are on site at the hotel, which is across the street, and they are the BEST. The apartment we had faced the street so was not completely quiet, but it worked for us. Some people find the walk-up awkward with luggage. Like almost all of the airbnb setups nowadays, the apartment is somewhat basic and cheaply furnished, but I would...
We had the three bedroom apartment. It was on the 4th floor but well worth the hike up. Very spacious and one of the most unique places we stayed at. The view out our windows of the city and the fortress were amazing. You were in walking distance of almost everything. Very memorable stay.
