"The staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was limited but adequate. Location is about 10 mins walk to supermarket, the mall and public bus stop. Argus is a relatively new hotel and I have stayed there several times. I like it especially because the room flooring is tiles and not carpet. Overall if your looking for a clean budget hotel then this hotel is worth staying."

"We were disappointed at first when unable to find waterfront accommodation but so happy we didn’t. The Doubletree Hilton was so much better. We loved the green spaces along The Esplanade and the lovely seaview from our room. Although a long walk from the waterfront, close to shops and a couple of Darwin’s best restaurants. Local bus runs behind the hotel and Uber inexpensive.Best features the great pool and wonderful staff. Special compliment to Jeffrey for a great gin and tonic.😁 "

Bedroom and washroom amenities were more than adequate. Breakfast spread was good. Location was great. Walking distance to many spots. Loads of eateries/waterholes just short jaunts away. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet each morning. "Great room with large kitchen including laundry, living room and dining area, plus 2 bedrooms. Our room had a HUGE balcony off of it with dining table. So nice. The rooftop restaurant/bar was awesome! We had some drinks and enjoyed complimenting snacks and the kids loved the massage chairs. Special spot. The pool was awesome! "

"Great central Darwin city location for attending Darwin festival events. Bathroom was modern and spacious. Bes and lounge also comfortable and spacious. Modern bedside lamps with USB. Good aircon, nice verandah. TV smallest we've seen un a hotel in a very long time - bigger TV in a cruise ship room. Hallway carpet in desperate need of replacement - very much a trip hazard."
