"The staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was limited but adequate. Location is about 10 mins walk to supermarket, the mall and public bus stop. Argus is a relatively new hotel and I have stayed there several times. I like it especially because the room flooring is tiles and not carpet. Overall if your looking for a clean budget hotel then this hotel is worth staying."

"Checking in was both pleasant and smooth. Staff were friendly. The 2 bedroom suite we got was great. AC was working great. Suite was both clean and comfortable. Kitchenette was a bonus. Bedroom and washroom amenities were more than adequate. Breakfast spread was good. Location was great. Walking distance to many spots. Loads of eateries/waterholes just short jaunts away. Recommended!"

"Great room with large kitchen including laundry, living room and dining area, plus 2 bedrooms. Our room had a HUGE balcony off of it with dining table. So nice. The rooftop restaurant/bar was awesome! We had some drinks and enjoyed complimenting snacks and the kids loved the massage chairs. Special spot. The pool was awesome! "

"I was very happy with my stay at City Gardens. It's a little old but very pleasant, clean, tidy and very central. It had an excellent free NBN Wi-Fi service along with free parking on site. I generally walked to most places and really loved the area Waterfront. Unfortunately most parking is payed but that's expected when your in the City like most states. "

"We've just returned from a very enjoyable 7 day trip and for anyone visiting Darwin I would certainly recommend staying at this hotel. You're very close to the town centre and all of its amenities. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet each morning. We didn't include breakfast in our room rate only because we had a few trips booked which had a very early start so we were on the road before breakfast service srarted, We just paid...

"Great central Darwin city location for attending Darwin festival events. Bathroom was modern and spacious. Bes and lounge also comfortable and spacious. Modern bedside lamps with USB. Good aircon, nice verandah. TV smallest we've seen un a hotel in a very long time - bigger TV in a cruise ship room. Hallway carpet in desperate need of replacement - very much a trip hazard."
