Hotels in Kampung Dandulit

"You get what you pay for. This was a budget hotel for us backpacking around Malaysia. It had what we needed. The air con remote didn’t work but the kind start replaced it for us. We got a room clean aswell after the first night. The staff are lovely. Only downside was cockroaches coming up the toilet drain but not sure how this could be prevented maybe a stopper at the top of the drain? We got rid of them with room bug spray."

"The hotel is very dated and could do with a spruce up. However, the room was a good space, with a comfortable bed, kettle and fridge. There was a large supermarket behind and it was 20 minutes walk into Sandakan shops."

"Clean room, extremely helpful staff, good location in walking distance to the orangutan nursery and the rain forest discovery centre. Excellent food at the restaurant."

"It was only a brief stopover before a river cruise so didn't expect much and I guess it met expectations. Area around the hotel was a little dirty and there wasn't much to walk to. Hotel room was basic (fine) and the sheets and floor were clean. Bathroom wasn't as clean. Had a TV but it came with a 2 prong plug ??? Which makes no sense when its a 3 prong country! Breakfast very limited for western palate - no fruit or breaded things apart from toast. Overall as expected - not sure it's 3 star though "

"Wonderful place, such friendly, helpful staff. The communal eating area has a lovely atmosphere. Rooms are very pleasant and comfortable."
