Loved this place and it was a good price. We were close to the Blue Ridge Pkwy in a cabin near the small campground that was wooded and private with a porch. The cabin had great cable tv options and a warm, fireplace insert. Cabins were comfortable and clean (rustic with modern bedroom). The grounds of Springmaid Mountain are beautiful with ponds, mtn. stream and woods. Get good directions before you go as cell service is spotty and our GPS didn't list the road. I recently stayed at the Embers for one night and wish I had a longer stay. the location was very private and beautiful. the area around it in Blowing Rock is great, with lots of dining options. the rooms are spacy. I had the single king size room . the bathrooms and showers are just beautiful and they have all the essentials you need. Very Clean, beds are comfortable, coffee water & expresso available in your room. robes and slippers are provided
