Everything was perfect. Property is beautiful and staffs are kind. I enjoyed fitness and sauna too. The only drawback is checkout time at 11am is a bit too early. Hope it is 12pm.
Great Hotel, The only thing I didn’t like was the 90 euros I was charge for the city taxes, the hotel must let the guest know about that ahead of time.
Felt very safe as a solo traveler. The room was small but laid out nice that it didn’t feel too bad. The staff was great as well as location to the metro. Will definitely stay here again in the future
The hotel is walkable to a number of the places we were visiting. I liked that it wasn’t in the city center but only 10 minutes from the train station. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable.
All the rooms are different which makes them interesting. Comfortables beds, though pillows could be softer. Free bottle of champagne in suite was nice surprise. Loved the tea and pressed coffee set up in room for mornings or chilly afternoons. A steamer in the closet is better than ironing board. I have stayed in several different hotels in Amsterdam. This is the best hotel for the average person -- noting I am sure there are some nicer hotels that would cost $400 a night. This hotel is perfectly located between the Museum Quarter, the old section, next to Rembrandt Square, very close to the mile long walking mall, near other great shopping streets. Walking distance to the Jordaan district which is my favorite area. The hotel provides first rate breakfasts that spare no expense. ...
Loved this area of Amsterdam. The street was so cute and quiet and right down the street from outdoor cafes. Grocery store down the street. Easy to take public transportation from the Airport to the hotel.
The property is unique. The commons areas are welcoming and convenient. We stayed here to be close to the art museums, and if you can dodge the bikers and trams for a five-eight minute walk, you will love the experience. The cocktail spread was all we needed for that evening meal, though we did find nearby restaurants that were fun. Breakfast at the hotel was delightful. Most wonderful was the kindness of the lovely women running the hotel. We felt welcomed in Amsterdam thanks to them.
Great hotel, wonderful staff! We got there very early and our check-in was at 3. They did offer a different room, at the same price. But we had reserved a canal view room with a balcony and decided to wait. It was worth waiting for. Nice and quiet, with an amazing water view. We were there for King's Day ( not on purpose). There were about 1,000 people out front with a great DJ. The whole city is in party mode. It was fine, but glad our room room was along the river in back.
I was so nervous about finding a hotel in Amsterdam. Hoilday inn express was familiar (as it’s a popular hotel chain in America) and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and can help order drivers if you need to go some place without walking. If walking is your vibe— The area is very walkable and next door to an AMAZING Sushi place. If I ever find my way back to Amsterdam, i will be staying at the Hoilday Inn express.
