"Best stay during our Japan trip. Ample and free parking. Spacious and very clean rooms. And the private onsens were amazing. Highly suggest the optional half board experience. It was our best meal in Japan."
"It was an interesting concept where guests remove their shoes and place them in lockers at the lobby. The entire hotel, from the lobby to the guest room corridors, was covered with tatami mats, creating a cozy and authentic Japanese atmosphere.
Check-in was fast and efficient, and the room size was very decent. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary cup noodles.
The onsen was one of the highlights of our stay. The public bath was spacious enough and never felt overcrowded. In addition, there were seven private onsen baths available for guests. Free ice cream was provided on the 13th floor, which is also where the onsen is located.
Laundry facilities are available on the 7th floor. The washing machines are free to use, and guests only need to pay for the dryer.
A complimentary noodle supper is served daily from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, which was a nice touch after a long day of sightseeing.
Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The unique tatami concept, excellent onsen facilities, and thoughtful complimentary services made for a comfortable and memorable experience."
"It was a scenic walk from the lake to the property, we enjoyed it although it was drizzling. The room was nice and comfortable to accommodate 5 of us. We didn’t realize that there was no attached shower room when we booked so was a little shocked when we realized that upon check-in. If you intend to go to the onsen (which you should really go - there are 2 private ones and a big public one), then there’s no big issue with that. The dinner experience was also great, it was an extensive spread and immediately after dinner, there was free drinks at the front desk area. I would love to stay one more night so we could thoroughly enjoy the facilities and the beautiful surroundings!"
"If you don't have a car and don't like walking up a hill or for 20 minutes to the nearest station, this is not for you. But if you can get past that, this place is gorgeous! We were on the sixth floor with a view of the mountains in a Japanese style room. Tatami mats, futon, floor chairs. The bathroom had the bidet but a regular shower bath combo. A little moldy from the lack of circulation and it smelled like urine the whole time even after cleaning. Gorgeous view7PMs of the ocean and mountains. We saw Hawks and other birds on the daily. Breakfast buffet and dinner buffet were complimentary. Great selection of food and drinks alcohol included. We also got access to the lounge for refreshments and drinks in between. Basement had coin laundry and onsen third floor had games and a reading area for Manga. Very enjoyable stay but again the hill was killer. The station was 20 minutes away or with a kid that doesn't want to sit in his stroller 30 lol. Very helpful staff. Only downside was the store staff helping with the luggage didn't speak English and she made us fill out the paperwork ourselves when the last 2 hotels did it for us."
