We booked Goccia di Luna last minute after originally planning on Tuscany and finding out that agriturismo didn't have AC during the heatwave. The property is immensely family friendly and everyone is very helpful. Loved chatting with the family that runs the place! Highly recommend, and obviously the spot is goooorgeous
This place is a must stay if you are in Gubbio. The facilities are fantastic, the owners and staff are terrific. Our room was beautiful, clean and quiet. The view from the room was amazing.

About 20 minutes drive outside of Gubbio and up a mountain, the Castello provides a unique hotel stay. Our room was in a building inside the walls. It was quite large with a very roomy bathroom with both large tub and separate shower. Beams, stone walls and wooden shutters contributed to the castle atmosphere. Though rural it was not too far from areas we were visiting. It was very traditional and had old features which we liked very much. Breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly at reception and in dining room especially Raffaello.
Gorgeous location looking high over the countryside of Gubbio. The on site restaurant was delicious. Loved the shaved truffles and cream sauce pasta. The pool also provided a nice refreshing dip after the heat of walking around Gubbio (though the required disposable swimming cap was a bit odd).
This facility was Fantastic. The beauty was second to none. It was peaceful and quiet. The staff is more helpful than one can imagine.

Castello Di Monterone is a small castle that has outfitted into an 11-12 room hotel. The rooms are small but comfortable with high quality bathrooms, windows, etc. There are lots of little alcoves, inside and out, to hole up in. Great view of Perugia from across the valley, and the city itself is only a few minutes away (although it's one of the more maze-like experiences to try to get into the city center.)
