This is a quiet and friendly place to stay. The staff make you feel at home and make a lot of effort to make your feel welcome. The best part is that it is unique. I did a lot of research for our trip to Belize and just really couldn't find a place that seemed more appealing in our price range than Sleeping Giant. I was not disappointed. Go here! We took our 17 and 12 y/o and no one wanted to leave. The staff is the friendliest and most anticipatory you will come across. They have your table setup each day, if they hear you mention wanting to try something they will make it happen (they literally went into the jungle and picked bread fruit for us), and they had items ready for every activity we had mentioned possibly wanting to do. Check-in was well organized by Stephanie for our group of 6. Rooms were very comfortable, clean, and convenient to all property amenities. Food menu had a nice variety. Service was a bit slow at times, but we were in no hurry. The staff at this property went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were taken care of. The were very accommodative. Karaoke night Friday was a huge surprise and PLUS!

The resort is located a 5-min boat ride away from San Pedro and the resort provided a boat service that was always available at 15-20 mins notice, and the boat captain was highly responsive and helpful, even showing us specific shops in San Pedro that we needed, so we didn't get lost. The whole place was amazing! The cabins were bare bones but clean and cute. We had a porch in the back right by the rainforest, but wished there had been comfy chairs to sit on instead of a small, hard bench. The bathrooms were clean with some interesting insect life to observe while sitting there. Showers were hot and good pressure. The Toucan Cafe up front was superb - we ate every meal there. I stayed for my birthday in February and I will say it’s safe, clean, and perfect for solo or plus one traveling! You’re about 10 minutes from the city but the owner has amazing recommendations for drivers, food options, and excursions that she helps with if you ask! If I come back to Belize definitely will be back!

Best darn vacation I've had in years, and I travel amost every month! This was a kick your shoes off relax and just do nothing but enjoy the sun, sea and birds. Can't forget the birds. I've not enjoyed just BEING somewhere so much except for when I'm in Hawaii staying at my friend's house doing nothing. The water here is clearer and warmer than Hawaii! I arrived early in the day, and Colin was very responsive and understanding of my situation allowing me to have a room immediately. The room was comfortable and clean. Later in the day, Colin came by to check if I needed anything. Since the nearby restaurants were closed, he personally made the drive to pick up food and deliver it to us. The next day, he even gave us a ride to the airport. His personalized attention meant a lot to me. Thank you to Colin and to the Bomboleo Inn!

Cute hotel that gives quick access to San Ignacio without being in the center of town. The property is sweet and the staff are super helpful and nice.
