"I was here for an 8-day ski trip, 6 nights in a Western-style room, and 1 night in a Japanese-style room. The hotel is very spacious and I really like the rustic/quaint atmosphere. I really liked that the western room had a couch. Made full use of the onsen and ski locker room in the basement. Free Kaiseki Breakfast was very convenient. There's a free shuttle to the lifts and going back just involves skiing down the slop across the road from the hotel. The town centre is still walkable from...

"Very clean. Older but charming. Exactly what I wanted. Delicious restaurant on site to use if you get snowed in or just want a fantastic meal. Onsen was also great. "

"Fujisan was great. Our car couldn’t make it to the inn. Fuji came down the hill in a snowstorm to pick us up, he called ahead to make sure the local restaurant stayed open for us as well. Breakfasts were excellent, the rooms were large by ryokan standards and very clean. The Hanabun is a vintage gem tucked deep in the Myoko Mountains. "

"I only had one night in Nagano, but this hotel was very convenient to the train station, food and shopping. I really liked the lockers out front, as I was able to drop off bags before check in without any fuss. The room was very comfortable."

"The hotel is new, cleaned and chic. Only drawback is their drivers don’t speak English and there is only 1 restaurant. Hotel offers pick up and drop off at train station, all the ski parks nearby and restaurants between 9-6. breakfast buffet was great and their front desk staff are very helpful and speak good English. I checked in on a Sunday and left on a Thur, and there were some noisy kids running around the hallway at 7am on Thur which was a bit annoying. Special thanks to front desk...

Shuttle bus stop at the front door will take you to various ski resorts in the area. Staff is excellent, helpful, kind. Restaurant is great! Had use of a ski locker as well. Full locker, not just a place to hang skus and poles. "
