Serene, beautiful, sacred area. 15 min walk into Nikko town, shrines, famous bridge, and 20 minute walk to both bus/train stations. I absolutely loved this hotel. It was so beautiful, the onsen a bar and everything about it. The staff was amazing. I would definitely stay here again! Just know if you get dinner out go early and make sure you realize a lot of the great restaurants are off the main road!

My wife and I just completed a delightful 2-day stay at this impeccable property. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The well-designed room was very comfortable and very reasonably priced. The bed was very comfortable as well. The shower had the best shower head we have ever experienced in any hotel ever! This was the perfect, quiet place to rest easy while visiting the nearby shrines and Tobu World Square. Highly recommended!

This historic hotel, founded it in 1870, is beautifully located and provides an exceptional experience in every way. The staff got a backpack left on the bus back to us within an hour. The onsen is a dream. I would love to be able to return someday.

The entire place was so serene and calm. Lots of enjoyable activities and the food was fabulous. The staff were very thoughtful, professional, and kind. Very family oriented.

This is a very relaxing property. The staff is very helpful and facilities are clean and modern. This is my go to place to relax from the hustle in Tokyo.

Great location, very new and clean. The only thing that seemed wrong was the staff were predominantly male foreigners who were overly aggressive and domineering over their Japanese workers. The gracious welcome, smiling, and accommodating Japanese check-in was definitely missing. Get rid of the domineering and arrogant male check-in staff or at least change their demeanor.

I should have booked 2 nights to really enjoy! Everything was excellent. My 1st time in Japan and this was lovely. Staff checking me in spoke great English.
I booked a huge tatami room and had a balcony overlooking the river. There is a turn-down service while you’re at dinner.
Buffet was fantastic and the whiskey was not watered down at all! Definitely try the sesame ball things for desert.
There are clear English instructions on how to use the onsens and an app that shows you how crowded...
