You might want to play some rounds at Craigmillar Park Golf Club, located 2 mi (3.2 km) from central Edinburgh. Our travelers also like the museums and art galleries in the area. If Craigmillar Park Golf Club doesn't quite scratch your golfing itch, Braid Hills Golf Course, and Prestonfield Golf Club are also nearby.
Morningside is home to Blackford Hill, so why not stop by during your stay in Edinburgh. Our travelers also like the museums and art galleries in the area.
The Black Ivy was so cute! The restaurant is great and it’s nice to have breakfast in your hotel and the rooms are super clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The only thing I would say is that the hot water for the shower was not very hot (to be fair I like it basically the temp of the surface of the sun) but it was above warm at best. I liked the tea and cookie set up and the room decor <3
This is a lovely place to stay. The staff are excellent, the location is near public transportation (bus stop) and its a nice half hour walk to the Royal Mile. It is conveniently near Holyrood Park and the trails to Arthur's Seat. The restaurant Abacus was excellent. The staff quickly fixed an issue in the bathroom sink which is the only reason I gave them a 4 on cleanliness.
Owner Mark greeted us at Canny Mann. Very welcoming. Easy to park car in pub lot. Complimentary drink at pub. Stayed in champagne room. Brand new, large. Snack room nearby is nice- water, tea, coffee, cereal. Shops, restaurants nearby,as well as bus. 1.60 to city center, easy. We also walked to center, about 40min. No checkout required, just leave key in room door. Very easy. Feels like staying at a home in neighborhood.
Whilst we were there just for an overnight, this was a LOVELY B & B in Edinburgh, beautifully appointed, with a very gracious host. It's a bit far from the city center, but it is easily accessed by bus. We wished we could have stayed longer!
Great hotel, and good hot breakfast options. The rooms were clean, modern, with great in room tea and coffee options. It's in a quiet area, with a 10-15 Uber ride to City center. I'd definitely stay here again
One of the most fun hotels I've ever stayed at. In the states there are some hotels that will give you a warm cookie, The Brew dog gives you a beer when you check in. How cool is that?? The room layouts were great with a living space on the first floor and a loft for the bed. Why stay anywhere else?
Convenient location allowed us to walk to all the attractions, shops, and endless dining options. The staff was friendly, the bartender was a super hard worker and great at his job, and the rooms were clean. The hotel locks the gate at night so you have to use your key to get in, which is a nice feature for safety. If you are a light sleeper, it might be too noisy for you. Not from inside, but the people outside late at night (our room was facing the street). I found it entertaining and added to...
This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in the UK (and I've been staying at quite a few 5 star hotels). The staff was professional, friendly, and accomodating. They def pay attention to details and ensure we have the best experience. Even provided me some of the best local recs and I was quite impressed (and this is coming from a foodie like me)
This was my second stay at Voco Haymarket. I want to say how utterly marvelous the staff are. Super polite, helpful, capable, professional from front desk, house keeping to breakfast waitstaff. I think it is one of the best hotels I have stayed at because of the staff. It's also spotlessly clean, quiet with a wonderful breakfast buffet. Great restaurants nearby and an easy walk to the tram. It will always be my first pick when staying in Edinburgh.
We stayed at The Raeburn for one night on a recent trip to Edinburgh but wish we could have stayed a few more! The room was huge with lovely woodwork and a marble bathroom (the fixtures were top-notch with a huge tub, huge shower, double sink, and towel warmer). Our king-sized bed was very comfortable and there was also a large flat-screen TV. The elevator made it easy to get to our room and there was parking on-site. The staff was friendly and helpful. They gave us champagne to help us...
This is an exceptional hotel. The location is very near the royal mile. I really liked how it is built into the side of the hill. We were able to use the 4th floor exit at the top and the 1st floor at the bottom of the hill. I will always try to stay at the Royal Scotsman when I return to Edinburgh!
Overall, and excellent hotel. Only thing we didn't like was the shower. It's some sort of modern design and you there's no sliding door, there's no shower curtain, so it's hard not to get water all over the floor.
