"Small local shops nearby..room was lovely spacious all what you need in there even breakfast items along with the usual coffee and tea ..there was a small problem with the tv bracket which they promptly attempted to fix it The meals in restaurant are very nice and good portions and reasonably priced Team were freindly helpful and compassionate to my requirements which i thank them for Yes would definitely stay again "

"I've been staying here a couple of weeks now for work/business, the rooms are spotless, great facilities; kettle, fridge, microwave, shower gel, hand soap, washing up liquid, glasses, cups, cutlery. WiFi, TV. Co op and pub restaurant within 50m, various takeaways within 150m. "The George is in an ideal position, on the high street. Next door is a really good Thia Restaurant. There is a popular Italian restaurant within the hotel and an excellent little wine bar a few steps down the street. The George is a budget hotel that gives good value. We had plenty of space both in the room and bathroom. Toiletries and tea/coffee facilities were provided. The fan was very much appreciated during the hot spell."
