"Room was clean. Area was quiet"

"I explicitly asked the manager at the front desk when I reserved a room if the hot tub was open, and she told me yes. So I booked a room at that hotel completely based on that. After we checked in, we immediately got unpacked and suited for the hot tub, and it was closed for maintenance. I asked a different person working the front desk at that time and he didn't know anything, and said the manager would be back in the morning. The pool and hot tub never opened. In the morning, upon speaking to the same manager again, she said she didn't know about it and then said she couldn't help me with making it right. Horrible experience."

Maria especially stood out — she was professional, kind, and made us feel taken care of from check-in to check-out. That level of service is rare. "Check in was supposed to be at 3:00 p.m. we arrived and our room wasn't ready. They told us it would be about another 15 minutes, but it took about 45 minutes. We had a wedding to be at down the street at 5:00 p.m. and it would have been nice to know about the delay in advance. They did make up for it and gave us a late check out which was very much appreciated. We were charged twice for one soda in the mini fridge in the room. Although I didn't tell them about that since it was just $3, nobody likes being charged twice for anything and then having to deal with that later. Did not receive a detailed receipt for the room service charges so I don't know if I was charged correctly. These are little details that could be improved very easily. Other than that everything was amazing and I would definitely stay there again. The room was beautiful and bed was very comfortable. The food was delicious and the drinks were fantastic."
