Learn more about Island Park
Fly fishing the Henry's Fork might spoil you for all other rivers, with trout rising in waters so clear you can count their spots. In winter, snowmobilers carve fresh tracks through forests where moose watch with bemused tolerance. The quirky 33-mile-long 'Main Street' claims world record status, though it's really just Highway 20 connecting lodges originally incorporated to serve cocktails legally. Big Springs bubbles up crystal-clear water where massive trout swim lazily, untroubled by fishing lines. Harriman State Park offers trails through meadows where trumpeter swans nest. Mesa Falls thunders year-round, with rainbows dancing in the mist. After adventures, soak in Sawtelle Mountain Resort's hot springs while planning tomorrow's expedition to Yellowstone, just minutes away.

Sawtelle Mountain Resort
"The cabins at the property was great for a party of 4-6 people, ideal for families. The rooms are good for 2-4 people. Breakfast can be improved, certainly not something that inspires you to book. Commute to west Yellowstone entrance is 20-25 mins. I would recommend the property to stay."
Drift Lodge & Fly Shop
"First the positive. Clean, easy to find location, park next to door, quiet area but next to highway, cute in a rustic way, comfortable bed, two large windows lets in good light, microwave, small fridge and sink in a bar next to bed with a coffee maker, bathroom amenities good. However, the bathroom would be challenging for a tall person, toilet is low, shower is short and even the doorknob is low. Overall, the whole space is very compact but meets the need for sleeping and preparing for your day outside. There is a light and fan over the bed, but no AC. Opening the door in the evening let in cool fresh air. There was a heater in the closet for colder days. We did not see a sign in the room about check out expectation, but on a paper they gave us on check-in with invoice, which I didn't look at until we got home, it said we were expected to put out the bag of garbage on the porch by 10am when we checked out, as well as to gather all used towels and put into a bag they had hanging and put it out. No signs in the room so we didn't do it. Posted in the room was no smoking and a fine. But our room definitely reeked of past smoking and we went home with clothes smelling like old smoke, which is greatly irritating to a non-smoker. Overall, it was a nice place to stay and met our needs for just a couple of nights."
Starlight Retreat Yellowstone
"Inside the tent was very nice and clean. There’s battery that powered lamp and phone charged. The staff in person were friendly. Extra blankets and towels were available on request. Heater was available on request for a fee. The check-in process is patterned to a hotel where you go to a front desk which I believe has specific period that is opened. We arrived late in the evening for first night so we were not able to check in, I wish there was a self check in. Communication via the travel agent, in my case Expedia, could be improved in terms of responsiveness. The bed, sofa and all the inside setup of the tent was great. Other than grass outside and the communal facility there’s none like tub, grill (maybe this by design so just fyi)"
Island Park Lodge
"This place was Spotless! Very comfortable bed with a great TV. Shower was great. If you don't use the shampoo, you're truly missing out. Heavenly scent. Next to a grocery store that doesn't kill your wallet & all you outdoor activities, 4wheeling, snowmobile & jetski."
Cabin Village
"Cabin was very clean and well maintained. Only negative thing that we experienced was the hot/cold water adjustment during shower. It was very hard to get warm water, it was either very cold or extremely hot."
Blue Buffalo Resort
"Easy check in. Room was awesome. Laundry onsite. Pizza was amazing. Would definitely stay again."
The Preserve
"There were no hangers in the cabin so you can't hang your clothes. Other than that pretty good place to live."
Yellowstone Peaks Hotel
"Nice property, very clean and comfortable"
