Grande-Terre Hotels

My husband and I celebrated Christmas and his 50th birthday at this wonderful hotel nestled just outside Ste. Anne, a quiet retreat from the noisier resorts. From there, it was easy to make day trips in our rental car (a necessity) around Grand-Terre and Basse-Terre. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the decor is top notch. Would recommend to anyone seeking a taste of the city and wanting a charming comfortable home base.

Nice place with full air condition. The written WIFI code is a wrong code so do not waste your time using it. You can call the guy to give the correct code. The place has no kitchen. I was initially under the impression that it got one. Generally, I like the place because I got enough area to do my walking exercises and I can easily catch buses to do my business.

Rooms clean with tiled floors, enough closet space and refrigerator & includes a safe. Lobby, bar, restaurant very nice and open to the sea. Nicely landscaped with well maintained pool, and private beach also well maintained (sand raked daily). Canella Beach is a solid 3 star resort and a great value . It has a wonderful beach front - with great lounges & umbrellas, access to a tasty snack shop, and is cleaned & groomed every morning. Great room and location

We stayed at La Toubana in July 2017. The staff was very welcoming and the restaurant even provided dinner for us on our first night even though we arrived past closing due to a 7 hour flight delay. The amenities are beautiful with comfortable loungers at both the pool and beach. Food is excellent. Our room was a stunning two story condo type room up on the hill. Sweet, simple and lovely. Pretty pool and terrace area, with views of the sea. Very helpful staff. And in a perfect location on the island. We very much enjoyed our stay.
