I have to start off by saying that staying at Paolyn Houseboat was a leap of faith for myself, my wife, and our 3 children. To be isolated in a lagoon next to an island with no degree of infrastructure, caused us some level of uncertainty. The location is perfect . Walkable to the downtown area. Staff was excellent and very accommodating. They cater to all your needs from the moment you wake up . They arranged all our excursions , hotel pick up, spa & massage . It’s a real vacation not to think of anything & just relax. Thank you May, April & Erol for making our stay wonderful

Absolutely beautiful location. Beautiful rooms and facilities. The biggest disappointment was the standard of food. For the price it would make sense to make it all inclusive .

The bedside lamp doubles as a phone charger and has a switch so you don’t have to get up to turn it off. Small thing, but I loved it and slept better than I have in a long time. The sea view room faces Bacuit Bay. It’s close to the port, so it’s a sea view but not quite a beach view. The hotel can arrange motorbike rentals and island hopping tours, though there’s no breakfast included. All things considered, Z Garden was the most comfortable place we stayed during our entire El Nido trip.

"It was our first time travelling abroad on our own, and we picked the bunk bed room. I told my friend if we wake up wrecked we’ll switch rooms. We never switched. The beds are genuinely comfortable. I & my wife really had an amazing time at Buko Beach. We visited this July 2023, and the receptionist Arlyn was so kind and nice. She was able to book us Island hopping tour trip and other activities. We really enjoyed our time there. It was superb. Overall the hotel workers treated us so kindly and with a warm smile all the time. Worthy visiting.

Nice. Clean. Stuff friendly. Nice view on top.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The place is meticulously clean. It is very quiet, and everything is within walking distance. Airport transportation was smooth and arranged by the hotel staff. Port is 5 min walk away to hire a boat to go to magical islands within 20-30 minutes for snorkeling, swimming or seeing the rock formation and amazing nature. We would be repeating our visit here!

Be prepared for “roughing it” to a degree. No a/c, cold water shower, but magical surroundings in spectacular setting, All meals provided. Happy atmosphere and happy guests there to experience the raw beauty. Monkeys in the trees add something extra to enjoy

A great hotel centrally located in the heart of El Nido town. Service was excellent by Camille and Jillian at the front desk, and the boat tours offered were top notch. Free shuttle transport from the airport. 10/10 - the perfect home base while in el Nido town. Highly recommend!

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Seriously that best service I've had. We booked the beach front room and it has the most beautiful views. The place is seriously breath taking with clear blue waters and limestone cliffs. Breakfast is complimentary and of course I ordered the Filipino breakfast every morning we were there. Our waitress grace was awesome. Their Blanca pizza was delicious and on our last night we had the filet mignon which was delicious as well. We did the island hopping...

Loved the resort. It was like paradise. It’s a little far to get to, however fully worth it. The coral reef are beautiful just off the beach in front of the resort. There is a nice path around the island that take about 40min walk and if lucky see some monitor lizards of up to 1.5meters. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to accommodate you. The view from the lighthouse is spectacular.

We had thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Funny Lion El Nido. The staff from Food and Beverage, front desk, bar. Tours and even security guard made our stay so enjoyable and memorable. They catered to all of our needs without making us feel overwhelming and we felt like a part of "the family" while staying there. It’s a beautiful hotel with stellar management and staff. With each day we stayed there, we became more enchanted with the place. I can’t stress this part enough that the service, attentiveness was stellar. It’s perhaps the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. I had my wife reality check this statement to make sure that I wasn’t exaggerating and making fair comparisons to other great hotels.
