"Of all of the places we stayed in Sri Lanka, we most enjoyed our time here. The staff, service, facilities, and food were wonderful. This is an oasis and a fantastic place to stay during your visit to Sigiriya. Check out time is 12:00, which is perfect for an early morning climb in Sigiriya with a delicious breakfast and swim in the pool to relax before moving on."

"Ok but not as premium as expected. Gym is tiny and used by staff as well as guests early in the morning. Not enough loungers around the pool. Good but not great for the money"

"Beautiful place, very clean and accommodating for our three families during our short stay. Host was exceptional kind and helped navigate the space and surrounding areas during our first visit to Sigriya. Breakfast was also delicious. Wished that we could have stayed longer. "Pleasant stay at Pothana Village, the highlight was definitely the pool and staff. The room was decent, but the bathroom could do with some upgrades. There was a gecko in the room and a couple of bugs, but given the properties location it’s to be expected. I think other reviews have been abit overly critical of this, but the location is right by a lake. Loved watching the peacocks roaming around, some monkeys and all of the friendly dogs. Staff were really friendly and accommodating, always smiling and hospitable."

"This is a beautiful peaceful forest resort nestled in a rural forest like area not too far from Sigiriya fort, Dambulla cave temple and Minneriya national park, which were the three attractions we saw in the area. The resort has a great spread of both international and local options breakfast and dinner buffet on weekdays and lunch buffet too on Fridays and Saturdays. A la carte menu is limited but sufficient and we'll prepared. The chefs, hotel staff and management are very sweet people and are very attentive to your needs. The rooms are spacious with large bathrooms. Very comfortable beds. AC wasn't great in one of our rooms but they promptly serviced it and made it better. The open air pools are fantastic and has a nature pond feel to it. Water is not too chlorinated either and is very refreshing to swim. Truly enjoyed this relaxing hideaway in Dambulla for the three nights we stayed there. Would recommend!"
