We don’t normally do reviews but this place deserves one. Just a gem of a find. Great location, beautiful and comfortable (alpine but modern), and amazing food! (Both the complimentary breakfast and we had a delicious dinner.) and everyone was so helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing hotel with a beautiful view of the Matterhorn

The hotel and the town as well as adjacent towns are excellent. The hotel was a pleasant surprise with king size beds and comfortably sized rooms. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

Our first time to Switzerland and Zermatt. After 3 plus hour train ride from Zurich was pleasant surprise to find the hotel was little steps from the train station. Staff was friendly and helpful at check in and we arrived in time for the afternoon snacks and beverages. Our suite was spacious. Full kitchen. Living room (only issue is we were not able to figure out how to turn on the fireplace! Wish the hotel had given directions on how to use). Also had laundry included, which was helpful...

The Capra is one of the best hotel experiences I ever had. We keep going back anytime we can. This is the one place where service is at its utmost definition.

The location of the hotel was great. 5 mins walk from station and right in the middle of the downtown area its excellent views of the downtown life from the balcony. The staff were friendly and good breakfast as well

Great stay

Had a wonderful stay in Spiez. The view from the hotel is absolutely gorgeous! I recommend getting a room with a view of the lake, you will not be disappointed. Our room was comfortable and spacious with nice updated bathrooms. My only complaint about the room was there were no shades of any kind to block out the light in the morning. This was a true Alpine experience! The hotel was like something out of Swiss Family Robinson. It was pristine in every way. The room had everything we would ever need and the owners/staff couldn’t have been nicer. The breakfast was excellent! I wish I could give it a higher score than a 5!

We arrived in Zermatt by train, and the hotel provided free transportation from the train station. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The hotel's 'lobby' is more like a living room, complete with comfortable chairs, fresh flowers and a fireplace. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Very nice hotel, close by the train shuttle station. Has two elevators, a beautiful lobby and excellent dining area. Breakfast was very good; All the 'hotels.com' hotels we have stayed in have provided a good buffet breakfast, clean rooms and good beds. The bed in the Butterfly was softer and more comfortable than all the rest. We would stay here in the future.

The location is excellent, right on the main road in Zermatt. Nice breakfast included in the price. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful all around! The room faced the Matterhorn as promised. Felt safe and at home the finishing, mostly hand crafted were amazing. Only advice I’d give is to take a taxi from the train station. It’s not a 15 minute walk as google will tell you. It’s a strenuous uphill hike. If you have luggage it’s very hard if you’re not used to higher altitudes. But it did not detract from the experience!
